The WIDE VIEW line is characterised by a particularly wide field of vision. The main screen with a 115x85 mm surface and the two 80x35x68 side openings, protected by a single curved front screen, guarantee 180° visibility. The side apertures are self-darkening: they switch from a light state of DIN3 grade to a fixed dark state of DIN10 grade, while the main viewer is characterised by a 4-8/8-12 darkening level.

PPE (personal protective equipment) is extremely important for welders, whether they’re a professional or an individual who welds much more rarely.
In addition to gloves, apron, pants and other clothing, the welding mask is a very important protective device. Welding is first and foremost a source of heat that causes projections and shot as well as it produces ultraviolet rays that can cause significant damage to the operator's eyesight. This is why simple goggles are not enough and a helmet welding mask provides important physical protection, but also certified eye safety.
The welding mask consists of a helmet structure, a filter with various qualities and characteristics, and often two filter protections, one external and one internal, which protect it from welding projections.
There are welding masks with unattinic glass, hand masks or helmet masks that are always obscured, which have been on the market for several decades; in recent years, more technologically advanced masks have been created, which are obscured only when the electric arc is struck with the piece.
The former are less easy to use because the operator must raise and lower the helmet to be able to check the state of the weld; the use of the latter, on the other hand, is much more intuitive and even a less experienced operator will find great advantages.
This automatic mask has very different characteristics and prices and it is not always easy for the welder to find the right product for his needs.
First of all, it is important to understand if we want to use it for MMA, MIG or TIG welding because the light generated by TIG welding, for example, is much stronger and requires a quality mask with excellent sensitivity.

As you can see most masks have a brightness adjustment from 9 to 13, but only a few have the function for 5 DIN grinding or even adjustable 5 - 8.
There are also professional welding masks with additional adjustments such as delay time, sensitivity, filter with digital adjustment, wider field of view or a ventilation system that allows the welder to breathe cleaner air during welding. All these parameters can make the price of the welding mask vary considerably, without forgetting that there are optical filters of very different quality.
